Volunteers are needed in both the Thrift Store and the Dinner Program.
In the Thrift Store, a variety of jobs are available, from simply straightening up the displays and pricing items to making small repairs on the building. Volunteers serve as few as two hours a week up to as many as 40. Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to stop in for an application. Training is offered for all volunteer positions, including sorting, repair, cashier, and Day Manager.
We are also in need of volunteers to help with our Thrift Shop warehouse, including assisting with the pick-up of large donated items.
In the Dinner Program, help is needed in the setting up of the dining area, food preparation, the serving of food, and cleanup. We are always looking for those who are interested in being trained to serve as assistants to our Kitchen Manager and Lead Cook.
Volunteer applications are available at the Thrift Store checkout counter. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, feel free to ask any of our volunteers at the Thrift Store or at our Dinner Program.
There are many ways you can help His Supper Table, whether giving of your time or your resources.
Be a Temporary Volunteer
On-call volunteers are needed to assist in facilities repair, warehouse transfers, furniture pick-ups and deliveries.
If you’d like to help out occasionally with special projects, fundraisers, etc., let us know! We’ll keep your name on a list and call when there is a need.
Be a Regular Volunteer
- The Thrift Store needs volunteers to sign up to work one day per week (currently Wednesday through Saturdays). There are currently openings for sorters and pricers. The store can also use volunteers to come in on a regular basis to straighten shelves and perform light maintenance.
- The Kitchen staff at times needs volunteers on Mondays and Wednesday. However, these volunteers must possess a Food Handler’s License.
